Dog is man’s best friend. So it isn’t surprising that greyhound racing is on the list of activities done in a stag weekend. It has become popular in stag and hen parties as well as the public. Greyhound racing is generally purely amateur and conducted for enjoyment. It used to be a sport done during the cold winter nights with jellied eels surrounded by east end geezers. From this, it has become a famous stag activity and a family oriented fun evening out. The courses now have large enclosed seating areas, modern bars and food. But of course, the pies and eels are still available for the purists.
